A central vision of THE TAOS ART SCHOOL is to seek out compelling class locations for each workshop. Housing will be arranged for you nearby and is part of the total fee paid to the School. Each class description will detail its location and tell you about your Hotel or B&B.

The Taos Art Colony

There is an indefinable 'something' in the Southwest, and Taos is near its center. It surely has something to do with the shimmering quality of the Light, the vibrant mixing of Cultures and the calm vastness of Space. Nestled at the foot of the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Taos is a place where the landscape bears the mark of infinity, where the movement of the earth is palpable, and where the widely diffused light invites your Soul to expand. The Vast Perspectives are filled with new Clarities.

Taos has inspired people for more than a millennium - from the Mysterious Anasazi Culture to the accomplished Pueblo Indians here today; from the artistic Spanish people to wave of seekers in modern times.

Taos currently supports a Vibrant Art Colony that we refer to as "The Left Bank of the Rio Grande" ©.
